SECRETS
OF VERO BEACH
An Insider’s Guide to this Special Town
Vero
Beach, Florida December 4, 2002 Psst! Lynn Potter, a local
Vero Beach resident, has written a book about the secrets
of our wonderful town. All of you out there can relax; this
is not a tell-all book about people, but a clever guidebook
that reveals interesting information about Vero Beach.
Secrets
of Vero Beach is a compilation of businesses with items or
services commonly needed, but not always easy to find. In
order to maintain the integrity of the book, none of the businesses
listed were solicited; therefore, the book is free of advertising.
Together with a group of close friends, Ms. Potter listed
their favorites for survival in Vero Beach. In addition, interesting
facts about the coastal town and Indian River County were
incorporated into the guidebook. Whether readers are longstanding
residents or newcomers to the area, Ms. Potter is sure they
will find Secrets of Vero Beach enlightening and fun.
Lynn
Potter and her husband, Larry, have lived in Vero Beach for
12 years. Prior to forming Potter Consulting three years ago,
she was the Executive Director of Riverside Theatre. Her knowledge
of the community provided tremendous insight into the creation
of this special project.
DHI
Visual Communication, a local marketing firm, designed and
produced Secrets of Vero Beach. Jebby Potter, Ms. Potter’s
talented sister-in-law, drew all of the book’s special
illustrations. Jebby is an award-winning artist and teacher
whose works have been published in collections across the
U.S. She resides in Vero Beach during the winter and serves
on the faculty of the Vero Beach Museum of Art. The artwork
will be sold at a charity auction for a not-for-profit organization,
to be announced at a later date.
Secrets
of Vero Beach is available for sale at the Vero Beach Book
Center, Ocean Grill Gift Shop, Chelsea’s on Cardinal,
William Bainbridge Steele Floral Design, and Rock City Gardens.
